What will you be doing?

AiMH UK works to increase awareness and education about infant mental health. Our central aim is to promote the mental wellbeing and healthy development of infants, taking into account cultural, regional, and environmental variations, and to generate and disseminate scientific knowledge. Alongside our IMH specialists on the board and the management team you will assist in further development of our business strategy for long-term sustainability, and will have skills in sourcing fundraising opportunities, grant applications, and bid writing.  PROJECTS:

MEMBERSHIP:  To continue to increase membership of AiMH UK across all sectors of the workforce working with babies and toddlers. To include individual practitioners, organisations, teams in IMH, Universities, Colleges and training providers. COLLABORATIONS: To further develop partnerships with organisations, training providers, Universities and NHS teams in the infant mental health market. THE AiMH UK IMH CPD PROGRAMME: AiMH UK has developed  the only National set of IMH Standards, the IMH Competency Framework (IMHFC), against which trainee and trained practitioners can map their practice (cited in the Family Hubs & Start for Life (SfL) Programme Guidance 2022); we will continue to invest and support practitioners working towards mapping their skills and creating their IMH portfolio and secure entry to the IMH Recognition Register. DEVELOPMENT OF A UNIQUE IMH TRAINING PROGRAMME: This training programme would sit alongside the AiMH UK IMH CPD Training programme to support practitioners, and would focus on the early years students and workforce. The training will educate them in the importance of infant mental health in thier practice and enable them to complete the submission of their IMH Portfolio. THE AiMH UK TEAM: To continue to expand the AiMH UK team by increasing the  number hours for both the clinical and CPD leads, and expanding the administrative team. SUSTAINABILITY: To ensure that AiMH UK has the necessary resources in terms of both funds and manpower to continue the work that has been undertaken over the past three years.
