What will you be doing?
We are at an important time in our growth and development, as we consider partnering with other organisations to help clients who may have a diverse range of needs. We recognise the increase in mental ill over recent years, which combined with the rise in the cost of living, is putting huge pressure not only on families but on charities and other organisations.
What are we looking for?
What are we looking for in a Trustee? People who are concerned about the many who experience poor emotional, mental and psychological health and want to work to improve wellbeing. People who are effective in working as part of a team, and who are able to speak up and challenge when necessary. People who are able to act as ambassadors to a wide range of audiences. People who can question, discuss and debate issues to ensure the governance of the charity is robust and the Board makes good decisions about how to fulfil its mission and responsibilities. People who live locally in Gloucestershire who have a connection to some of its diverse communities We are particularly keen to receive applications from people from a range of social and ethnic backgrounds as we broaden our representation to reflect all local communities. To complement our current Board of Trustees we are looking for people who have expertise in the following areas:
Business development and management Campaigning and influencing Equality, diversity and inclusion Legal expertise Human resources Stakeholder and membership engagement Collaborative working
Board Diversity We are particularly keen to receive applications from people from a range of social and ethnic backgrounds as we broaden our representation to reflect all local communities. We meet as trustees most months, usually online, on a Monday evening, with occasional in person evenings held in Gloucester. Some trustees also contribute to working groups on specific issues.

Provide strategic leadership by reviewing our strategic aims, setting overall policy and evaluating performance. Ensure the agency, and all those representing it, operate within all relevant legal, financial and regulatory requirements. Act in the best interests of the organisation and those it is set up to support. Manage and maximise the resources of the organisation Promote the charity externally
Maintain good relationships with our staff and volunteers, ensuring the charity is promoting their wellbeing, and is a good place to work
