What will you be doing?
As one of three volunteer cafe managers, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our cafe/ bookshop/ patisserie /gallery while upholding the mission and values of our organisation. Your main responsibilities will include managing day-to-day cafe activities, supervising volunteers and ensuring exceptional customer service. We're looking for 3 people with strong leadership and organisational skills, a genuine passion for the community, and a commitment to creating a welcoming space for our supporters all the while keeping our mission and values at the forefront of all that you do. Your ability to foster creativity and appreciation for the arts will be highly valued in this role.

Leadership: The ability to lead and inspire a team of volunteers is crucial. You should have strong leadership skills and managerial experience to effectively manage and motivate your team. Organisational Skills: Managing the operations of the cafe requires excellent organisational skills. You should be able to handle day-to-day activities, inventory management, scheduling, and coordination effectively. Communication: Good communication skills are essential, you should be able to clearly convey information, listen actively, and foster positive relationships. Creativity: As an art cafe manager, having a creative mindset is important. You should be able to curate and showcase artwork, create an engaging atmosphere, and develop innovative ideas to promote the artistic community. Problem-Solving: Being able to think critically and solve problems efficiently is essential in managing a social enterprise. You should be able to handle challenges that arise, make sound decisions, and find creative solutions. Passion for the Cause: Having a genuine passion for the social cause that the art cafe supports is highly desirable. It will drive your commitment to making a positive impact and inspire others to get involved.
