Volunteer Mansfield CVS Trustee

What will you be doing?

Mansfield CVS is seeking highly ambitious, experienced, and forward-thinking individuals to join our organisation as members of our Board. This Strategic Board will work directly with our CEO to influence critical decision making and constructively challenge the implementation of our strategy. The Strategic Board will meet 6 weekly with our CEO, providing an opportunity for the board to support organisational growth and the shaping of our organisation for the benefit of the communities which we serve. Mansfield CVS is an infrastructure organisation which pro-actively supports the community and voluntary sector within the Mansfield District. We provide support and guidance for those who want to become volunteers and those who want to recruit volunteers. Our Project Leads provide infrastructure support for groups across the district, which enables them to carry out their vital services. We attend various meetings and events around within the community and at higher level. We offer group support resources for new community groups and ongoing information and advice on everything from funding to social media for existing groups. We can also promote and share information through our networks and channels. As a member of our Strategic Advisory Board, we would like you to develop a detailed understanding of our operations, vision, aims and objectives in order to guide and support the implementation of our strategy across all areas of the organisation. Main Duties and Responsibilities: • To attend 6 weekly strategic advisory panel meetings • To advocate for MCVS's service and work where possible • To attend focussed meetings or steering groups where possible • To represent MCVS at events where possible Key Information Time commitment - 10 days per annum Voluntary position - reasonable expenses paid Location of meetings - virtual & Mansfield
