What will you be doing?
Following the resignation of our current treasurer we seek someone to replace her. We are a small grant-making organisation run entirely by our team of trustees, so the treasurer role is vital to ensure we understand how much we have available to give out to our applicants. The people we support are primarily sanctuary seekers with very little resources or cultural capital in the UK, we are often their only source of funding to help them rebuild their life through education. Despite the difficulties of operating during the pandemic we have improved and centralised our processes over the last three years to help us work more effectively. There is still more to do and we're hoping a new trustee will bring thoughts on how we may improve further.
What are we looking for?
This role would suit an individual who:
Has a passion for supporting individuals facing hardship, including those seeking sanctuary in the UK Is proficient in Excel Is able to commit sufficient time to fulfil the core responsibilities of the role Has previous experience in a similar role
