What will you be doing?
ERCA works with adults who suffer from an acute or chronic mental health diagnosis, and their carers, within Essex. We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals, motivated by our vision and mission who are confident communicators and strategic thinkers. We are particularly looking for Trustees with experience in Finance, Fundraising, Risk Management or Marketing / Strategic Communication. We are also keen to get trustees who have experience of organisational or business transformation, ideally in a similar field. We are looking for trustees who can bring expertise in the following areas:
Financial management: Financial literacy including understanding of budgets and accounts, financial controls, reporting, and requirements for external audit or independent examination; ideally as a finance director or treasurer for a similar organisation; Fundraising / Income generation: Experience in fundraising and market presence development. Successful fundraising experience. Risk management: Experience of setting risk appetite, managing and mitigating key risks. Marketing / Strategic Communication – someone with experience of designing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to build awareness of ERCA’s activities.
Time commitment: Trustees are required to commit sufficient time for this role. Board Meetings are held monthly (participation can be in person or virtually) and you will be asked to provide ad-hoc support to the management team. The total time commitment is on average not expected to exceed 10 hours per month.
