Volunteer Marketing a New Respite Support Service for Unpaid Carers

What will you be doing?

Respite – The Carers Sitting Service The Carers Sitting Service will support carers struggling due to lack of breaks, have limited free time for personal chores or appointments and who also do not meet the requirement for statutory caring support. The sitting Service will have its limitations in that ‘Sitters' will not offer any help with personal care, taking medication, eating, drinking, lifting or moving.  Following a pre-arranged agreement being set up, Sitters will regularly visit the person being cared for so that the Carer can have a couple of hours to complete certain tasks either within the home or externally. The Sitter will share hobbies, provide conversation and companionship to dependents giving them a chance to talk to someone different. Respite – Personal Assistant Network We are also now providing a new Personal Assistant Service. This service will be directed to carers or dependents in receipt of Direct Payments who are seeking support to find a Personal Assistant locally in the London Borough of Brent We now wish to bring this new service to the attention of the 37,000+ eligible Unpaid Carers in the London Borough of Brent who are dearly in need of our respite services, due to their selfless caring roles.

What are we looking for?

Excellent marketing skills to bring awareness to the target audiance, through the correctly identified outreach programme.

This will bring great relief to the thousands of Unpaid Carers in Brent, who selflessly support their loved ones in need and are part of the National Unpaid Carers who save the NHS over 13 Billion Pounds annually due to their voluntary support.
