What will you be doing?
RSPB local groups are run entirely by volunteers and promote our work in the local community. The role of treasurer is essential in ensuring the group works well and makes a good financial contribution to help the RSPB save nature. The role involves about 6 - 10 hours per month on average. Some of the work can be done from home, but you would be required to attend group events and committee meetings. Training is provided and the role offers a chance to meet new people, learn about nature and have more fun than you might expect from accounting! What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with experience of accounting and book keeping, who is familiar with Excel spreadsheets and used to cash handling and other financial transactions.
