What will you be doing?

In your role as a Digital Engagement Strategist with MHScot Workplace Wellbeing, you'll be instrumental in enhancing our connections within the social enterprise support sector. We're seeking an individual with a fervent passion for the social enterprise sector, who is driven to make a significant impact on mental health and workplace wellbeing through strategic digital engagement. Your expertise to foster and deepen our relationships with key online intermediaries such as Social Enterprise Scotland, Social Enterprise UK, The Good Stuff Network, and the Social Enterprise World Forum will be key.  Your involvement will be pivotal in our outreach, engaging with these networks to support our initiatives in workplace mental health and wellbeing. The essence of your contribution will be your active participation and the organic ties you build and strengthen in the social enterprise communities online spaces. You'll be working autonomously yet in tandem with our core team, who are just as passionate about creating a difference in workplace wellbeing as you are. While there are no set deliverables, your understanding of the sector and ability to nurture partnerships will be the cornerstone of your role, shaping the way MHScot is represented and connected within the social enterprise space. This role allows for a dynamic approach, and we welcome your strategic input and innovative methods to help us expand our network and mission.

What are we looking for?

For the role of Digital Engagement Strategist, the ideal volunteer should bring a robust set of skills and experiences:

Proven Experience in Digital Strategy: A track record of developing and implementing successful digital engagement or marketing strategies, particularly within the social enterprise or non-profit sector. Relationship Building: A natural ability to forge and nurture partnerships and connections with various stakeholders, including social enterprise support networks. Content Creation: Competency in crafting compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences, driving engagement and support for mental health and wellbeing initiatives. Understanding of the Social Enterprise Ecosystem: A deep understanding of the social enterprise landscape, including key players, trends, and how they align with mental health advocacy. Strategic Thinking: The ability to think strategically about online engagement, with a view to long-term relationship building and advocacy goals. Autonomy: Comfort with working independently while also being able to collaborate effectively with a remote team. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt strategies in response to analytics, feedback, and changing needs within the sector. Passion for Mental Health Advocacy: A genuine interest in and commitment to promoting mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, aligning with MHScot's mission and values.

What difference will you make?

By elevating MHScot's educational outreach, your engagement will directly enhance our ability to provide top-tier training and resources on mental health and wellbeing to workplaces across the UK. Your strategic relationships within the social enterprise community will broaden our impact, empowering organisations to foster a culture of compassion and awareness around mental health in the workplace.
