What will you be doing?
The Alternatives to Violence Project is a network of skilled volunteers who run workshops for anyone who wants to find ways of resolving conflict without resorting to violence. We work in the community and in prisons. Key accountabilities
Lead and advice on the digital safety and data management Set and maintain the vision, mission and values of the charity with regards to fundraising Ensure the charity complies with charity law requirements and other laws in reference to data management Ensure the charity’s resources are responsibly managed Act in, and further, the charity’s best interests Actively participate in all Board meetings and other Trustee meetings as they arise Contribute to the effective performance of the Board
What are we looking for?
We are looking for people willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on our board. A broad-based understanding of digital, a strategic mindset and the ability to deploy this within the context of a small organisations with limited resources. ·Knowledge of data (governance, use) would be an advantage. Candidates do not need to have a background in the charity sector.
What difference will you make?
AVBP Board of Trustees share ultimate responsibility for governing the charity and directing how it is managed and run. As a member of the Board of Trustees you will help set the strategic aims, objectives and direction of the charity. The skills and knowledge you bring will enhance the Board and support AVPB in achieving its charitable objectives.
