Volunteer Trustee appointments with potential for eventual Chair/Vice Chair role

What will you be doing?

1. A trustee with experience of education from a legal perspective to support our school team with any issues that arise. 2. Trustees with a desire to lead the board with empathy, focus and vision.  Someone with the time to commit.  A good relationship builder who leads collaboratively.  Experience of chairing efficient, productive and effective meetings would be very useful.  An ability to engage with all stakeholders - staff, parents, board Trustees and external parties.  The role is NOT an operational one, although all Trustees are available to school as a resource if required.  Experience of strategic planning would be useful. Board meetings are held 1/half-term = 6 annually.  Also required are regular meetings with the Head and on occasion with external stakeholders including parents.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for enthusiasm, communication skills, leadership, an understanding of strategic vision and planning.   Experience of the educational legal sector would be useful for our link Legal Trustee role

Our school is small but wonderful!  We have big ambitions going forward and are currently seeing positive growth in all areas.  We have a really collaborative and engaged board of Trustees and a fantastic sense of team within the whole school.  We are determined to maintain this in the recruitment of any new Board members.  Each Trustee has a 'link' role within school in additional the general Trustee role (education, safeguarding, health & safety, marketing, HR etc.)
