Volunteer Trustee

What will you be doing?

The Trustees support Lymington New Forest Hospital with a rolling programme of projects, ranging from funding modern ‘state of the art’ diagnostic equipment to improving a wide range of patient treatment, care and rehabilitation facilities. We have contributed over £1 million to Lymington Hospital projects in the last five years.  As Trustee, you will be expected to:

Attend monthly Trustee Board meetings and occasional ad-hoc meetings and events Work with fellow trustees on current and future hospital projects to improve patient care and wellbeing Engage with hospital managers and staff to develop, deliver, and review projects and the charity’s volunteering services Actively contribute to fundraising activities and networking with community and business partners, acting as an ambassador for the charity Ensure positive relations with the hospital, patients, our staff, and volunteers to deliver to the charity’s goals Develop our community of friends to communicate the work of the charity and encourage fundraising and sponsorship

What are we looking for?

We are looking for new trustees to join our successful team who will bring some or all of the following attributes

You will take a keen interest in the work of the charity Professional in approach Enjoy working as a team to get things done Positive attitude and be prepared to speak your mind Willingness to devote time and energy to your role Good networking and people skills Prior business, financial, professional, marketing, healthcare, operations or administration experience over a number of years at at least managerial level Planning and organising skills
