What will you be doing?
We are looking for a treasurer to join our board of trustees to help us achieve our short-term goals and to ensure the long-term viability of the alliance. To do this we believe an enthusiastic treasurer with great communication skills, experience of working in financial management and some knowledge of the charity sector would be a great asset to our charity. In the role you will be responsible for:-
Overseeing the financial affairs of the charity and ensuring they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice. Ensuring proper records are kept and that effective financial procedures are in place. Monitoring and reporting on the financial health of the charity. Overseeing the production of necessary financial reports/returns, accounts and audits.
What are we looking for?
Skills Required
Knowledge and experience of current and fundraising finance practice relevant to voluntary charities. Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial management (as necessary). Good financial analysis skills. Ability to communicate clearly. Understanding of risk and controls.
