We are looking for a creative digital marketer to help us raise our profile by using their creativity and knowledge to deliver engaging content across our social media platforms.

What will you be doing?

*This is a remote role and hours are flexible* The ideal candidate will have an interest in helping a small Cancer charity grow and build up its reputation by leading on the following activities: -

Maintain the charities social media platforms to ensure it is up to date and reflects current priorities/activities Develop and create engaging and varied social media content to increase awareness of our charity and fundraising events, services and community impact etc  Innovate and present new marketing ideas to the board to support growth Manage email and social media marketing campaigns Work collaboratively with our team of other volunteers on requirements for graphic design, video, animation and copywriting Keep abreast of new social media sites, web technologies, and digital marketing trends Implement these new technologies in developing campaigns and update current campaigns to include new information Work collaboratively with the board as and when required

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will live or be from Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire or Bedfordshire to fit in with our charities ‘by locals for locals’ ethos. However we will consider candidates from outside of these regions General

Passionate about the local community Ability to think of creative and diverse content Great understanding of social media algorithms and how to increase followers Three year’s work experience in digital marketing

Skills

Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills Creativity Strong writing skills with ability to produce compelling copy Proof reading and editorial skills with a good eye for detail Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time Ability to work as part of a team and individually Excellent time management and prioritisation skills Experience in a similar role in the not-for-profit sector would be advantageous Experience of digital/online fundraising Experience of using social media platforms (FB, Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter)

Competence

Experience of managing and writing content for social media Experience of the charity sector Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
