What will you be doing?

  Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is an expanding Multi Academy Trust located in the  West Midlands. The central focus of the role is to provide unwavering support to the Trust Resources Committee in shaping the financial strategy of both the MAT and its academies/establishments. This responsibility encompasses a meticulous review of recovery plans and budgets, coupled with a comprehensive overview of financial matters. By diligently assessing and analysing financial performance, the Trust aims to safeguard the institutions' financial stability and ensure they are optimally positioned to navigate the complexities of the current economic climate. Through these efforts, Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust remains committed to fostering a conducive learning environment that empowers both students and educators to thrive.

What are we looking for?

  The ideal candidate for this role will possess extensive expertise in the financial domain, demonstrated through a background in financial management, budget setting, and/or auditing. While not mandatory, a valuable asset would be a specific background in educational finance, showcasing a solid understanding of funding streams and financial dynamics unique to the educational sector. Moreover, the candidate should have the ability to confidently challenge and question senior leaders, holding them accountable for the decisions they make.
