Startup School for Seniors is a non-profit organisation that fosters entrepreneurship among individuals aged 50 and above. Our mission is to give seniors the tools, knowledge, and support to transform their ideas into thriving businesses. We offer a range of online courses tailored to their unique needs, helping them embrace their entrepreneurial spirit and contribute actively to society. Position: Business Development Support Volunteer Role Overview: As a Business Development Support Volunteer, you will be crucial in helping us create a new revenue stream for our organisation. Your primary focus will be identifying partnership opportunities and driving direct sales for our new online course, designed specifically for individuals aged 50 and above who aspire to launch their own businesses. Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential partnerships and collaborations within the senior entrepreneurship and online education sectors. Reach out to potential partners, including relevant companies, organizations, and influencers, to explore mutually beneficial opportunities. Assist in crafting partnership proposals and presentations, highlighting the benefits of collaborating with Startup School for Seniors. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective strategies for promoting and selling our online course directly to the target audience. Utilize your creativity and entrepreneurial mindset to brainstorm new revenue-generating ideas for the organization. Provide periodic progress reports to the management team and contribute to team meetings.
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or marketing. Strong understanding of partnership strategies and sales techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with potential partners. Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for promoting entrepreneurship among older adults. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in using online collaboration tools and basic knowledge of data analysis tools is a plus. Previous experience working with senior communities or in the education sector is an advantage but not mandatory.
