Volunteer Non Executive Director

What will you be doing?

Main duties:

Attend bi-monthly of the Board and business planning meetings when needed Contribute constructively to meetings in line with business priorities Take on a specialist  role in marketing/ and or website design Take on only those tasks that you are confident you can deliver to a high standard and within a reasonable timeframe Conduct yourself with honesty, transparency and integrity Take reasonable steps to make yourself accountable to the membership Treat all members, clients and employees of the Company with fairness, respect and courtesy As conflicts arise, resolve them promptly and only through the formal processes of the Company Respect the confidentiality of clients, members and staff of the Company complying with the GDPR at all times Seek publicity and always represent the company positively to others in accordance with our Business Plan

Responsibilities All non-executive Directors must be willing to accept the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of a Director as set out in the Companies Act 2006. Location Meetings will be held at a central location to be decided by the Directors or video conferencing when appropriate. Suggested hours per month 6 hours per month on average, with peaks and troughs around planned activities such as promotional events. Support provided Training can be provided on a range of housing issues.

Required skills, Qualities & Experience Directors are expected to have a high degree of professionalism and are likely to have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Financial management Legal responsibilities Business experience (ideally with SMEs) A passion for housing Lettings industry Marketing companies or projects Selling a brand Website design
