What will you be doing?
Our charity has grown rapidly in the past four years and we are seeking more external expertise to harness and channel our energy. Our board has identified marketing, recruiting and care standards as key areas. As we grow the charity needs a strong brand and balancing that with our history is a challenge. We will require more volunteers and need to find the right qualities and manage their expectations. The welfare of children and young people is paramount in all of our plans. As an Ofsted registered provider we cannot lose sight of the CQC and the standards which we aim to exceed. All volunteers will be dedicated to improving experiences for disabled children and young people. It would be great to hear from eager to support the growth and development of a dedicated team.
What are we looking for?
Great communication skills and a passion for expanding the horizons of disabled people are essential. Our board is a small team and each takes responsibility for their area of expertise while communicating regularly to integrate our work. IT skills are important, especially Google Suite. We are seeking people who can implement strategies and lead us through your ideas. A track record of success would be ideal as we aim win prove while also offering great outcomes in the short term.
What difference will you make?
You will be an integral part of the team which shapes our expansion as we seek to provide new experiences for more disabled children and young people throughout England. There are too few charities providing the kind of care and outcomes that we achieve and this is a truly unique experience. Not only for volunteers and trustees but vitally for disabled children. You can help ensure more people benefit from our work, while also maintaining high standards. Of course we want people to offer strategic insight but passion is vital. The energy and experience of our trustees has opened doors to new opportunities for the children we support for over 60 years. This is more than respite, we have taught children to fly aeroplanes and trustees are the centre of that process. Our energy needs a clear vision and effective processes to remain effective and to grow. The charity is committed to growth and transformation so your passion will essential to providing more exciting experiences to people who need them most.
