Volunteer Coordinator of Volunteers for refugee charity

What will you be doing?

The volunteer coordinator/s will initially be helping us build a network of volunteers, brief and DBS check those that will have direct contact with the families together with our Safeguarding lead. Once the families are in place, the coordinator/s will make sure that the volunteers are allocated appropriate jobs - such as transport / befriending / teaching English etc. 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people that are responsible, efficient, organised and have good communication skills. We already have a trustee that specialising in safeguarding, but someone that has safeguarding experience would be helpful as we will be working with vulnerable people. 

What difference will you make?

The volunteer coordinators will truly be the nuts and bolts of the running of the charity. They will ensure that the refugees are helped and appropriate services provided to do them at the right time.
