The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation dedicated to improving health by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships. We are committed to spending £16bn over the next ten years to fund new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and to address three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease, and climate and health. These challenges require bold science, which we support, but they also need more than just scientific solutions.
Where in Wellcome will I be working? You will be part of the Digital & Technology (D&T) Delivery team within the D&T department. This team of 12, including delivery managers, project managers, and analysts, works across the department to ensure high-quality and efficient delivery of technology and digital transformation programs, projects, and agile products. We strategically plan, prioritize, and deliver D&T's diverse portfolio and manage the Digital & Technology Investment Plan for delivery of strategic change activities. Our team uses a mix of waterfall and agile practices and is actively implementing more agile ways of working across the portfolio.
What will I be doing? As a Portfolio Analyst, you will build and present reporting mechanisms across the portfolio, including performance reporting on projects, transformation programs, products, and alignment with our organizational objectives and key results (OKRs). You will help define and update key measures to report on D&T operational and strategic activities to enable data-driven decision making. Additionally, you will find opportunities to improve and automate our existing strategic and operational performance reporting and implement those. You will also support the D&T Delivery team by establishing the right level of risk, issue, and change control processes and templates, and help coordinate our governance meetings with scheduling, agenda planning, paper collating, and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
Is this job for me? If you have experience in strategic reporting for management information and decision-making at an executive level, and are familiar with digital projects, programs, and products, this role could be a good fit for you. You should be adept in working with digital and technology environments, understanding how to report and measure progress effectively. An ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about identifying opportunities to enhance and future-proof reporting systems, bringing an analytical and creative approach to problem-solving. Additionally, you should thrive working independently while still providing valuable support to a large organization.
Our Hybrid Way of Working We offer a hybrid work model, which includes 3 days in our Euston Road offices (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) with the remaining 2 days working either remotely or in the office. Diversity and Inclusion is a priority at Wellcome. We are committed to cultivating a fair and inclusive environment, where everyone can be themselves and thrive.
