What will you be doing?

We need to increase and strengthen our Trustee Board following the departure of Cllr Richard Williams on his appointment as Mayor.  We are looking for people with a heart for supporting those in our local community who may be struggling.  Although a small charity we can have a huge impact on the lives of people we serve.   We adopt an asset based approach to what we do, focussing on what people have to offer rather than their needs. In 2011 Lower Green was selected for the NESTA Neighbourhood Challenge project together the Community Foundation for Surrey.  The Community Support hub and other projects that we have set up since the pandemic are a direct result of the skills and training our Project Manager and others gained from that time. We have lots of ideas but we need to strengthen our Trustee board and management structure before we can grow any more.    We are keen to hear from anyone with leadership, financial, marketing or administrative skills who can help us develop our strategy, risk management and business planning.  We also need to produce an impact report to support our funding applications so are looking for anyone who could help with this possibly as a one-off project.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people with a range of skills and experience but most important is a desire to use what you can offer to support people in  the local community.

What difference will you make?

As part of our Trustee board you will have a real opportunity to offer your skills to support and shape our work and strategic direction and to ensure the long term viability of the charity. This is a vital role, which will ensure we can continue our support for the Lower Green community which in the past has been overlooked but is now firmly on the radar of Elmbridge Borough Council and other organisations. This is an exciting time for our charity and we would love you to be a part of it.
