What will you be doing?
The Treasurer is responsible for the charity's monthly management accounts plus its current and savings accounts. Annual accounts are produced at the end of the financial year and presented to the AGM and filed with the Charities Commission. The Treasurer is one of the board of Trustees who meet once every two months to discuss the running of the charity. The approximate time commitment is one day per month.
What are we looking for?
The Treasurer should be familiar with maintaining accounting records and producing management accounts.
What difference will you make?
The Treasurer is an important role in ensuring that the charity is properly managed and its financial situation is clearly reported to the other trustees.
