What will you be doing?

Are you passionate about supporting parents and families through their journey of raising children? Do you have a knack for fundraising and building meaningful relationships? Home-Start South and West Devon is a thriving and compassionate parents support charity, dedicated to providing a lifeline of assistance, guidance, and understanding to parents facing various challenges. We believe that every child deserves the best start in life and supporting parents to do the best they can is an effective way to make this happen. We are there for parents when they need us most. Over the past six years we have worked hard to diversify our funding streams and have successfully added contracts and some enterprise income to our previously heavily reliant grant funding. We are looking for someone to help us develop the other areas of funding including donations, local fundraising and legacies. We are currently seeking a motivated and committed individual to join our team as a Fundraising Trustee. As a Fundraising Trustee, you will play a crucial role in securing the necessary funds to expand our programs and reach an even greater number of parents in need. Although based geographically in South Devon, our remit extends to offer digital, targeted support to parents across the UK. We are passionate about the use of technology to create cost effective, sustainable support to as many parents as we can. We are led by an experience CEO and Trustee board and are looking for someone to add to our fundraising strategy, particularly around local fund-raising, sponsorship, donations and legacies. The post is flexible and can be entirely remote. Responsibilities:

Help develop and implement effective fundraising strategies to support our mission and programmes. Organise engaging fundraising events that bring the community together. Explore innovative funding opportunities and help further diversify our revenue streams. Collaborate with our passionate CEO to create a sustainable fundraising plan

What are we looking for?

Skills and experience -

A genuine enthusiasm for our cause and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by parents. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders. Proven experience in fundraising or related fields, with a track record of success.

What difference will you make?

By joining our team as a Fundraising Trustee, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of parents and families. Your work will directly contribute to the growth and sustainability of our innovative organisation, enabling us to provide essential support to those who need it most. You will help us to further develop our digital model, enabling us to reach more parents particularly where geography or poor mental health make in person support or delivery difficult. With increased funding, we can enhance and develop new programmes and initiatives tailored to the specific needs of parents and families. Your efforts will contribute to the creation of innovative and impactful services, providing parents with the tools, resources, and support necessary to thrive in their parenting journey.
