What will you be doing?
The skills listed are an indication - any would be desirable but not a pre-requisite. General Responsibilities
Providing advice on legal issues Attending meetings (9-10 annually) Following up on actions from meetings Maintaining good financial management Ensuring the Centre is maintained to an excellent standard
What are we looking for?
What we need People with commitment and enthusiasm who are willing to take on unpaid responsibility and have new ideas and creativity to progress the Association into an even more active role within our local community. Useful experience:
Charity governance Legal knowledge relating to charities and property management
What difference will you make?
We currently have three trustees, Ideally we would like to increase to the maximum number of eight, giving us a robust Board with diverse expertise to increase the work the charity can do and the speed with which it can achieve the projects on which it embarks. A local solicitor does provide some pro bono advice but recently a number of issues have arisen which needed more specific advice related to areas outside their expertise.
