Role Summary

Role Requirements

  • Ability to manage large workloads and meet deadlines.

The role: As a senior level Funding Manager, you will join our Directed Activities team in a permanent capacity. You will be based in the Research Funding department, specifically within the Directed Funding & Planning section. This role involves providing business partner support to Wellcome’s Strategic Programmes in Infectious Diseases, Mental Health, and Climate & Health. You will play a crucial role in the delivery and implementation of strategic activities, ensuring that world-class research is facilitated.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of grant funding processes and policies, and be educated to at least degree level in a relevant science or public health subject. Previous experience as a Funding Manager or in a similar role, and experience in the academic research environment are essential. You should possess robust stakeholder management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to manage large workloads and meet deadlines.
