What will you be doing?
The charitable purpose of the Unit is to promote the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens by the provision of education and leisure time activities using a nautical theme and in accordance with the principles, ethos and practices of the Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC). The Unit and its property is managed and administered by a body of charity trustees collectively called the Unit Management Team (UMT).
What are we looking for?
We are looking for volunteers with life experience! You should be an adult who is interested in the development of young people. If you have any relevant experience in charity governance, teaching, administration, fund raising, sports, marine activities, finance, governance, parenting or life skills, we would be delighted to hear from you.
What difference will you make?
As part of the Unit Management Team you will bring your skills and abilities to bear on the development of young people in achieving their physical, intellectual and social potential as individuals and as responsible citizens. Your involvement will have an immediate and visible impact on the positive development of young people as well as providing for your own development and social life activities.
