What will you be doing?
With experience of steering meetings to produce excellent decisions, you’ll also be willing to encourage others to express their views. You will use your strong communication skills to help build a team of committed adult volunteers to join or aid the Executive Committee. No previous experience of scouting is necessary, What’s more important is your own skill and experience as well as empathy with the scouts mission and values. We will provide all appropriate training and ongoing support.
What are we looking for?
Governance experience would be useful; previous Chair experience would be nice, but not necessary. If you have experience of steering meetings, this would be helpful. If you are interested in helping young people get skills for life. You can work with other people and talk to people at different levels, bodies, external parties, etc. You like finding solutions to problems and are organised. You would like to be more active in the community.
