What will you be doing?
Our Board has six established Trustees and requires specific fundraising expertise to ensure that we can maintain our current services and grow new services to maximise the opportunities available for children and adults with learning disabilities across Bath and North East Somerset. We have set a goal to raise £30,000 in each of the next 3 years to allow us to replace our ageing minibus and to provide funds to maintain services and need specific fundraising expertise to assist us with this.
What are we looking for?
Passionate about Bath Mencap's work to support people with a learning disability Experience in fundraising activities and be prepared to coordinate and support fundraising events Experience in writing funding applications, completing and following up on application forms and reporting to non-statutory funders in relation to both new and existing donors Friendly, approachable, reliable, patient, accepting of others who might be different from themselves and enjoy working with different people, both disabled and members of the wider community Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are key to this position Be prepared to attend regular Board meetings, or extraordinary meetings as required.
