Role Summary
- Originate and validate land opportunities for battery storage assets in Italy.
- Collaborate with the Lead of Project Development and Land Acquisition Specialist.
- Negotiate and sign new land deals for the development and construction of storage projects.
- Manage local stakeholder relationships and landowner negotiations.
- Conduct market analysis and prepare documentation for greenfield origination.
- Coordinate with the UK team for group consistency.
Role Requirements
- Degree in urban planning, architecture, geology, or agronomy.
- 3-5+ years of experience in land acquisition and real estate, preferably in renewable energy.
- Understanding of the Italian land market and a passion for renewables.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in both English and Italian.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Italy.

We have ambitious plans to become the defining new clean energy player in Europe over the next few years, gradually expanding beyond batteries into new asset types.
The Real estate manager is a crucial and dynamic role responsible to scout, analyse, negotiate and sign new land deals for successful development and construction of the storage projects. We are growing rapidly and so will your responsibilities, so this is not an exhaustive list. There will always be room to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Mapping interesting areas, in order to find landowners in assigned locations
- Visit the identified areas to study the context and connect with local stakeholders
- Meeting landowners, negotiating and accommodate signing land agreements for lease (DDS) or purchase
- Interact with local scouts or agencies, and ensure the transactions are cost-effective as well as fast and without unnecessary liabilities for Field
- Manage and expand an external land scouts’ network to help and accelerate the growth
- Carry out an accurate analysis of the Italian market regarding prices in the area and in particular on the value of agricultural land
- Prepare the necessary documentation for the greenfield origination process in the project development space
- Collaborate with internal and external players for land assessment and budgeting the opportunity
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- you’re an open, clear communicator who enjoys working collaboratively
- you demonstrate great attention to detail - your drafting is plain and precise, embedding well through commercial principles
- you’re very organised - you’ll be spinning a few plates at once, so you’ll need to have tried and tested methods for keeping on top of a varied workload at your fingertips
- you’re excellent at building working relationships - we are business partners and need to work closely with all teams
- you like to engage with people face to face, creating positive relationships with landowners and land scouts, to close deals fast and effectively
- degree in urban planning, architecture, geology or agronomy
- 3/5+ years of experience in the land acquisition and real estate space, focus on renewable energy as a plus
- good knowledge and understanding of the Italian land market
- passion for the renewables sector and being part of a purpose-driven business
- excellent communication and negotiation skills
- simple and straightforward style when advising internal stakeholders
- attention to detail
- proactive, problem solving and empathic with landowners
- ability to manage competing priorities, whilst maintaining the quality of advice and a good work-life balance
- fluent and confident with both written and spoken English and Italian
- self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment
- availability for frequent trips in Italy, also at short notice
