What difference will you make?

We have a theory of change and an evaluations framework that enables us to measure the impact of each service we provide. Below is a small sample of our impact. 100% of people who attended a carers cafe report feeling less lonely or isolated  Cafe's have made a big difference to my moods, which were very low before, I did not want to talk to anyone, as I felt vulnerable, but I am so glad I pushed myself to attend. 94% of young carers who attended an activity felt less lonely or isolated. Becca said "being a young carer is like living in a box and sometimes you just want to break out.  Doing things with other young carers is brilliant" 85% of young carers who attended a wellbeing activity are still using the tools learned three months later  In 2023 BaNES Young Carers contributed to the first ever Parliamentary enquiry into young and adult young carers with the results being published by the All Party Parliamentary Group. It was really good to have the chance to speak about my own experiences. Going today, I was able to focus fully on myself and what I need as a young carer. Everyone there really listened and seemed like they cared.” Local young carer It is estimated that the 19600 unpaid carers in BaNES save the health care system 46M per annum ( Carers UK 2023)
