What will you be doing?

To help achieve this, we are looking for people with the following experience, skills and interests to help build this hugely important team. Please note, we don’t expect volunteers to have all of the below as we will agree roles and responsibilities around each volunteer’s skills, experience and preferences.

A strong understanding and working knowledge of schools settings, including the curriculum, what’s working / not working/ barriers to healthy eating (for example, Head Teachers, Teachers, Teaching Assistants, School Catering Teams, School Support Staff, members of Schools Parent Associations, etc).

A strong understanding of primary and secondary school aged children, their parents / carers and professionals working in school settings (i.e. our audiences) including what motivates them, understanding barriers and beliefs about healthy eating etc.

Experience designing, developing and/or delivering health and wellbeing interventions or programmes to increase awareness and education and to encourage behaviour change. Including an interest in providing creative ideas on how to design engaging and innovative ways to inspire change.

An interest and experience in working closely with schools (teachers, children, parents / carers) as a third party (i.e. not being part of the school setting). This may include those who have experience delivering services to schools.

Experience managing, coordinating and delivering projects effectively and efficiently.

What are we looking for?
