What will you be doing?
Our trustees support all aspects of our organisation, working closely with the chief executive to guide strategic direction, governance and fundraising. We are looking for enthusiastic people who are passionate about supporting people affected by borderline personality disorder and mental health, and who share our values. We particularly welcome applications from people with experience in safeguarding and social work. We warmly welcome applications from people with experience of BPD. Our board meets once a month, and any other work can be done remotely and flexibly. Come join us and make a real difference to people with BPD. We are proud to be an equal opportunities organisation and as such actively promote equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace. We welcome and encourage applications from all suitable candidates irrespective of age, disability/hidden disability, race or national origin, religion or belief, gender, or sexual orientation. Trustees must be over 18 and able to provide 2 referees.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for enthusiastic people who are passionate about supporting people in need. You should be someone who works well in a team, with good communication skills, and you should have a quiet private place to work. You should have some knowledge of mental health, in particular BPD, and the challenges it causes. If you feel you don't quite fit the skills or criteria of the role but feel you would be a good fit for the team, please apply.
What difference will you make?
This is a vital role, helping ensure we can continue our support for people affected by borderline personality disorder. As a trustee, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the strategic progression of the charity.
