Regrettably, like most businesses our development growth plan was false to pause due to the pandemic in early 2020 so now we are looking to get back on track to transform from a volunteer-run organisation to a non-for profit organisation. We are committed to serving the community with an ambition to grow the business and resource BiG with a team of paid staff responsible for core services and delivering services. What difference will you make?
BiG C.I.C. is an extension to Lionel Best trading as BiG (Besty’s Inspirational Guidance) - who over a 10 years period developed a portfolio which has an impeccable reputation with its users - young people, parents, commissioning services and schools - with strong statistical evidence that our interventions have real positive impacts on those young people we serve. BiG CIC has now taken over the batten and when developed and grown into a self-sufficient organisation will prove BiGGER benefits to our beneficiaries - working effectively in partnership with parents, schools and the young people themselves inspiring so many young people and empowering them to believe in themselves and achieve, and for many young adults, to change the narratives of their lives. However, BiG cannot grow without resources needed to generate revenue either through funding or delivering the many services that the community want, whilst at the same time creating job opportunities for many vulnerable young adults who need BiG's nurturing and support. This can only happen if BiG is able to recruit and pay resources to generate revenue and secure public funding available especially now for the Youth and Play sector who are in desperate need during these challenging times where there is quite a bit of Covid recovery related funding currently available for us.
