Role Summary

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in industry, research, and technical domains.
  • Coordinate efforts to expedite the 100-day mission's objectives.

Role Requirements

The Wellcome Trust is a global charitable foundation. We improve health for everyone by funding science, leading policy and advocacy campaigns, and building partnerships. We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate and health.

The role entails developing and maintaining a stakeholder community of industry, research and technical partners to coordinate implementation of the 100DM and oversee the delivery of the technical aspects of the secretariat’s workplan in order to accelerate implementation of the 100-day mission.

Job requirements include great understanding of the global health landscape, experience working with multilateral institutions and experience and knowledge of the infectious disease product development ecosystem. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills are also required. Significant and demonstrable experience of delivering high quality policy and advocacy projects, including analysis and products and experience of delivering policy advice to decision makers, including officials, in complex environments and experience of leading and managing projects, including delivering through others.

Benefits include flexible working environment, in which people can perform at their best. We are currently working 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) from our Euston Road offices (as part of our hybrid Ways of Working) with the remaining 3 days from home.
