What will you be doing?

Organization Overview: We are a dedicated non-governmental organization focused on improving health outcomes for the most vulnerable populations in Somalia. Our mission is to deliver impactful health services and education, aiming to create a sustainable and healthier future for communities in need. We are seeking a passionate and experienced HR Lead Volunteer to join our team and contribute to our cause by establishing robust HR policies and leading volunteer recruitment efforts across various departments. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall mission and vision of the organization. Establish and manage comprehensive HR policies and procedures to support organizational needs and volunteer compliance. Lead the recruitment process for department leads and volunteers, including roles in marketing, legal, fundraising, etc., ensuring a fit with organizational culture and mission. Design and oversee volunteer onboarding and training programs to ensure volunteers are well-prepared for their roles. Act as a point of contact for all volunteer-related HR issues, providing guidance and support as needed. Collaborate with department leads to assess volunteer needs, manage volunteer assignments, and optimize volunteer engagement. Monitor and report on volunteer satisfaction and performance, proposing improvements or interventions when necessary.

What are we looking for?


Proven experience in Human Resources, preferably within the NGO sector or a related field. Strong understanding of HR practices and volunteer management, including recruitment, training, and performance monitoring. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of volunteers and team members. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR policies and systems that support organizational goals. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Passionate about making a difference and committed to the mission of improving health in Somalia. Ability to work remotely and flexibly, with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
