What will you be doing?

Event Planning: Research, identify, and coordinate various event opportunities that align with CAMEO's mission and values. This includes but is not limited to fundraising events, community outreach programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns.

Event Coordination: Work closely with the team to plan, organise, and execute events effectively. Coordinate logistics, secure venues, manage vendors, and ensure all necessary resources are available for successful events.

Promotion and Marketing: Develop strategies to promote events and increase participation. Utilise social media, traditional marketing channels, and community outreach to raise awareness of CAMEO and its initiatives.

Volunteer Management: Supervise volunteers to assist with event setup, operation, and breakdown. Foster a positive and supportive environment for volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated for their contributions.

Fundraising Support: Collaborate with the fundraising team to integrate fundraising initiatives into events. Implement creative strategies to maximise donations and sponsorship opportunities during events.

Evaluation and Reporting: Monitor and evaluate the success of events, collecting feedback and data to measure impact and identify areas for improvement. Prepare reports and analysis to share with the team and stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

Experience in finding local community event opportunities, event planning, fundraising and volunteer management is required. Passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals affected by dementia. Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate volunteers, donors, and community members. Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative event concepts and marketing strategies. Detail-oriented and resourceful, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
