Volunteer Public Relations, Media Support, Copywriting etc

What will you be doing?

We are looking to build PR, communication, and research; with the ability to identify trends and opportunities associated with our vision. Knowing how to leverage these opportunities could make you a valuable contributor to building a successful project in supporting communities. In just a year Holme Farm has already been awarded 2 Highly Commended by Runnymede Civic Awards, more recently we were invited to meet with the Prime Minister and also invited to the King’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace. The Project, which is managed and operated solely by volunteers, continues to make great strides in making a difference with those that need support. We have a lack of expertise and support with the PR and media side. We need some assistance to ensure we continue to be visible to the local population and businesses. The role is flexible and as with all our roles we would like to build a team to ensure sufficient cover so that those involved are not to be under pressure. We would like the Media team to be able to

Create articles for Social media, local press/radio/TV? to advertise fund raising events to apply for recognition in local awards to seek opportunities to promote Holme Farm to work with the volunteers and respond to requests for support assist in writing/creating bid applications to companies and grant providers

The media team will work with the Management Committee

to agree targets and prioritise work loads in a flexible way and have the opportunity to evolve the role as they feel appropriate

to develop their own ideas to promote Holme Farm

What are we looking for?

Ideally volunteers with be able to work with all stakeholders at all levels with tact and diplomacy  be experienced in :-

Copywriting / Journalism Public relations Social media marketing Fundraising research / Bid Writing

What difference will you make?

Your input will shape how we present ourselves to our service users, stakeholders, funders, and the general public. With your help, we will be able to continue to build on the services and activities we are providing, making a difference. Our mission is to improve people's Mental & Physical Health by providing opportunities to work and socialise together. Reducing loneliness, providing a purpose, and involving everyone in activities and appreciation of the environment. We have multiple different activities on an 8-acre site including Gardening, both flowers, and vegetables, a large re-wilding project, well-being activities including a Sauna, as well as wood and craft workshops including wood turning.   You will help us reach out to the various volunteering communities to spread the word. Your networking and press contacts will help amplify the work already being done by an excellent team of volunteers.
