Volunteer Counselling Supervisor for chronic illness support charity

What will you be doing?

Are you an experienced and qualified counselling supervisor looking to make a difference? Chronically Marvellous, a leading organisation dedicated to providing support to individuals with chronic health conditions, is in need of an additional counselling supervisor to join our team. As we continue to grow and expand our services, we require additional supervisors who can dedicate 6 - 8 hours per month to provide supervision to our team of counsellors. All supervision sessions are conducted online, making it convenient and accessible for both our supervisors and counsellors. At Chronically Marvellous, we are committed to following the guidelines set by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Therefore, the ideal candidate should be familiar with and adhere to these guidelines, ensuring the highest standards of professional practice and ethical conduct. By joining us as a counselling supervisor, you will have the opportunity to support and guide our counsellors in their work with clients dealing with chronic health conditions. Your expertise and guidance will help them navigate the unique challenges that arise in such circumstances. What are we looking for?

By joining Chronically Marvellous as a Supervisor, there are several skills that are required to succeed in the role. You would be responsible for the wellbeing of our Counsellors, and as a result, our service users. You will be qualified as a Counselling Supervisor with the BACP, or equivalent. You would need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with board members and staff members. You would also need to have a passion for the mission of Chronically Marvellous and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with chronic illnesses. This would allow you to provide valuable insights and perspectives as you work with Counsellors that meet the needs of this community.
