What will you be doing?

Creating graphics and content: You will be hands on in Canva, designing images and videos using content provided by Tash (founder), as well as coming up with your own ideas to promote our work and engage our followers. Filming content for Projects: As you’ll know, keeping our followers and supporters engaged is vital, and videos and reels are a great way to connect. You’ll be a host for when we need someone to appear in our campaigns, telling our story. Collaborating with CM volunteers: Within the social media team, you'll have plenty to discuss, but we also encourage getting to know our service delivery staff, our fundraisers, and trustees. This will help you create a rounded SM strategy and include all relevant parts of the organisation to show to on social media platforms. Initiating great stories about CM: We want to have you on board for your creativity, so we’d love for you to pitch ideas. Our Marketing Lead has many great ideas on strategy and engagement, and we need you to come up with the specific stories to demonstrate our work, the programmes we deliver, and drive awareness to Chronically Marvellous. Tech knowledge: The digital world is constantly changing, and we need you to be our eyes and ears and tell us when to shake things up! It might be that you know how to analyse SM stats and metrics, or you are fab at keeping up with the latest trending audios - what sets you apart? Have fun and show passion for CM: You'll understand why Chronically Marvellous exists, and why the work that we do is important to so many people. You will be able to portray this to individual followers and potential partner organisations. We're all here for the same reason, we should have fun and enjoy being here! #LI-Remote

What are we looking for?

Experience of creating content for social media An interest in, or lived experience of, chronic illness and an understanding of why CM exists Experience of working in a creative team Knowledge of Canva or similar design software Ability to take initiative and bring ideas to the table Great organisational skills Great collaborative personality, working to achieve the same mission as our delivery team A passion for empowering people and promoting independence for those with chronic illnesses.

What difference will you make?

Chronically Marvellous is motivated by making a difference to the lives of people with chronic illnesses. As our social media accounts are often the first impression people get of the organisation, we need to make sure it is consistent, informative and up to date, and within the CM ethos. You will allow us to stay interesting and engaging, as well as passing on the important information of our services through these platforms. People often look to SM platforms before our website, so a change in time to our Support Group session, for example, is incredibly important to publish effectively.
