What will you be doing?

We are seeking Business Strategic Mentors who will build a supportive relationship, an experienced professional to guide and share knowledge with ambitious Royal Navy veterans. The Key skills we are looking to learn include communication, adaptability, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and tech-savviness. We would like you to help by offering guidance, but most importantly, help chart a course for the success of the Project.  We are looking to gain valuable insights into how to analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate strategic decisions. Learn how to deal with challenges and risks, communicate and collaborate with stakeholders. Help us to identify the strengths and weaknesses in our Project, help set goals and objectives Also provide us with constructive feedback, coaching, and resources to help us improve our skills and performance and ultimately to make this ambitious project a successful reality. We need experienced Strategic Mentors who can listen to our concerns, questions, or ideas, and offer us honest, unbiased, and respectful advice.  And who can also help us navigate the complexities and uncertainties of the business world, and cope with the stress and pressure of a unique Project that seeks to make sure that the Falklands War of 1982 is never forgotten and the memory of those killed in action continues to be honoured. We also aim to register as a charity so that we can work with and support the many charities that exist to support our Armed Forces Veterans. So  can help the Project develop skills such as strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, leadership, communication?

What difference will you make?

Ultimately, you will be a key Team member or Leader ensuring and helping with the smooth running of the Project as we progress through the various Business Plan Phases to our ultimate goal of achieving and opening the Falklands War Heritage Centre. A national centre of excellence for education, research and remembrance that plans to develop more services to meet increasing delivery of the Project. Your input and guidance will shape how we present ourselves to our service users, stakeholders, funders and general public. You will help us reach out to the various volunteering communities to spread the word. Your networking and any media contacts will help amplify the work planned for and delivered by an excellent team of volunteers. You will help gel together into a dynamic organisation our other teams of volunteers dealing with Marketing, Social Media, Promotional Events, Fundraising and Operations. With Business experience and mentoring you could help guide the Project towards success. You will also be influential in supporting the organisation's development in its transformation and growth as we continue to develop the ongoing business plan and longer-term strategy.
