Volunteer Film and Photography Volunteer

What will you be doing?

We would like someone to attend Girlguiding Leeds events in 2024 to take photos of our girls and volunteers having fun.  We'd also love to make a couple of promotional videos.  You will be supported by the County Commissioner (our lead volunteer who manages Girlguiding in Leeds) and will work with both our marketing volunteers and growth team. We would anticipate a year's commitment, but we're always looking for fresh and appealing photographs so the role will be available for someone who would like to continue with us.  And we're open to ideas and suggestions about what makes a good promotional photo! What is the purpose of this role? The key elements of this role include:

Supporting the implementation of the county PR & Marketing Plan, to promote Girlguiding activities and volunteering across the area. Attending Girlguiding events to take good quality photos, which promote the range of exciting and adventurous activities guiding provides. Creating short videos to promote guiding and to support training and county events, such as induction and introduction videos. Supporting the creation of a photo library, including organising, referencing contents and maintaining permissions. Providing specialist support and advice to volunteers to help with promoting guiding in local media. Supporting the design of promotional materials by providing and recommending fresh and exciting photographic images.

We are totally flexible and willing to adapt this role to suit your availability and skills. You will need to have a DBS check, but we provide full support to complete this.
