What will you be doing?
Established in 1876, Dame Agnes Weston's Royal Charity for the Naval Service (Aggie’s) is a Naval Charity aimed at the promotion of the efficiency of the Royal Navy and the Royal Marines and the advancement of the Christian faith. Aggie’s is looking for a new trustee to join our Board and help us to achieve our vision: To Serve all members of the Royal Navy (Including the Royal Marines and Royal Fleet Auxiliary) and their families, wherever they reside, to enable them to enjoy life and live it to its fullest measure while sensing the value and love that Jesus Christ places upon us all.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a committed Christian with experience in Fundraising and the aptitude to support and challenge the Executive team in ensuring best practice across all aspects of our programme. The successful candidate, as the Board’s Fundraising lead, will assist the Board to offer oversight and scrutiny to our Fundraising strategy and practice. You will bring demonstrable experience and a willingness to receive training and development for the role as required. This role is voluntary, expenses paid, with a commitment to attend three board meetings a year at various naval establishments across the country, bi-annual prayer days and events. Appointments are for an initial term of five years with the option of an additional five years.
