What will you be doing?
Position Overview: As the Assistant Treasurer, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial health of Plateful Cafe. Working closely with the Treasurer and other team members, you will contribute to the effective management of financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering transparency in our financial practices. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports. 2. Reconciliation: Ensure all the transactions back up data is saved on the designated folder Help out with regular reconciliation of financial accounts, including bank statements and donor contributions. Identify and address any discrepancies in a timely manner to maintain accurate financial records.
3. Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring confidentiality and security. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of efficient record-keeping systems.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred but not required. Previous experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a nonprofit or charitable organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
