What will you be doing?

Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice helps seriously unwell children and their families make the most of every day. The charity aspires to become a centre of clinical excellence for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. We’ve been on a major upward trajectory in recent years – with more children being supported, more major hospitals being partnered with and more supporters donating. We’ve transformed from being an enthusiastic start-up delivering care in the community, to a serious player delivering major impact both in the community and at our state-of-the-art hospice building, The Ark, opened in 2019. We are looking to build a community of Volunteer Philanthropy & Corporate Partnership Researchers to provide vital support to the fundraising team in developing their major donor and corporate partnership pipelines. As a volunteer, you will assist the team by gathering insights and intelligence from charity sector research and literature to feed back to the team and help inform fundraising decisions.

What are we looking for?

Key skills for this role include:

Good written and verbal communication skills Good research and analytical skills Good IT Skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word) and willingness to learn how to use the charity’s fundraising database, Beacon. Commercial awareness and strategic thinking Previous experience working within the charity sector is desirable but not essential

What difference will you make?

As a Philanthropy Researcher, you'll be helping our fundraising team to gain a better understanding of trends across the charity sector to help inform decisions and also identifying new fundraising opportunities which can be developed to directly raise income for the charity!
