What will you be doing?
Looking for an experienced Trustee/Director to join our Team. We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) called Chronically Marvellous and we have hopes of becoming a registered charity in the near future. Our main focus is to combat isolation and loneliness for individuals who have been diagnosed with chronic illnesses. We do this by providing weekly support groups held online, offering block one-to-one counselling sessions, providing small adaptations such as wheelchairs and mobility scooters, and even a pamper hamper for those going into or coming out of hospital. Allow me to tell you a little about myself. My name is Natasha Sorhaindo and I am the founder of Chronically Marvellous. I am passionate about making changes and removing the barriers that prevent individuals from receiving the help and support they need to live with an invisible illness. I was diagnosed with systemic lupus in January 2009, and over the last 14 years, it has been one diagnosis after another. My journey felt so alone, as I did not have anyone who could fully relate or understand. I was judged by my outward appearance and had to fight so hard for assistance. We are looking for experienced trustees to join us who can bring fresh ideas. Most importantly, we need individuals who can make a difference in the lives of our service users. Whether it's through regaining some independence or helping with mindfulness, your input would benefit so many and lives will be changed. So come and join our small, friendly team who are waiting to welcome you and start making a difference. We are open to Trustees with knowledge of: - Healthcare/Medical Technology - Business Development/Partnerships - Volunteer Management - Fundraising/Finance If you have other specialisms and Chronically Marvellous really resonates with you, please still apply.
