What will you be doing?

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced LMS Administrator experienced on the Moodle platform to oversee and manage our Online Learning Platform. We want to provide children and young people with a better learning experience and enable us to work closer with schools. As the LMS administrator, you will provide support within the LMS team and administrate the Learning Management System (LMS). You may also be requested to provide first-line support on LMS issues and escalate these as necessary, ensuring these are logged and resolved. The ideal person will ideally have:

At least 3 years’ experience using, configuring, customising and managing Moodle with a demonstrable understanding of and proficiency in Moodle installation, configuration, customisation and administration. A demonstrable understanding of development and maintenance of minimal bespoke instances of Moodle and scale-up strategies. Experience in customising Moodle over the out-of-the-box functionality available in Moodle including integrations with tools such as Salesforce, HR systems, etc. Experience in managing course content, structure and delivery. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Moodle. Experience in PHP, MySQL/PostgreSQL (desirable). Familiarity with GDPR compliance and data protection in the context of online learning (desirable).

Responsibilities:

Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within the Moodle platform. Configure and maintain courses, including creating and organising course content. Ensure the platform's stability and performance by conducting routine maintenance and updates. Collaborate with the IT & Engineering team to integrate necessary plugins and features. Keep abreast of Moodle updates and best practices to optimise the learning experience. Monitor and maintain data privacy and security, adhering to GDPR and relevant UK regulations.

The role is flexible and the time commitment expected is around 3-4 hours a week. Please only apply if you have regular time available and are looking to be part of an organisation for the long-term.
