What will you be doing?

The Transforming Autism Project is a pioneering charity focused on early intervention for young autistic children. Our aim is to enact profound change through home-based family services for families of young autistic children. We confront and reshape conventional views on autism, presenting a revolutionary perspective that celebrates empowerment and understanding, as reflected in our TED talk celebrated by the autistic community and beyond. Central to our approach is nurturing a deep bond of trust between the child and their primary caregivers to alleviate anxiety and foster a secure environment for children to unlock their innate potential. As a values-driven organization, we dedicate ourselves to embodying our core values in all aspects of our work. We are seeking enthusiastic Volunteer Community Fundraisers to join our team and mission in transforming the lives of young autistic children. This role involves creativity and collaboration in generating fundraising ideas and bringing them to life within your community. It’s an opportunity to develop skills in fundraising and event management while making a tangible difference. Key Responsibilities: · Assist in brainstorming and organising local fundraising activities and events. · Spread awareness about TAP’s mission and services in your community. · Engage with community members, local businesses, and groups to garner support for events. · Help manage event logistics, from planning to execution. · Collect donations and manage basic record-keeping of fundraising efforts. · Foster a network of volunteers and supporters to participate in fundraising initiatives. · Adhere to the organization's values and represent TAP with integrity and passion. · Continuous support from our team to ensure successful and rewarding fundraising activities

What are we looking for?

Qualifications: · Prior fundraising experience · Enthusiasm and a proactive attitude are most important. · Experience in a professional setting with using strong communication skills and roles that require engaging with a diverse range of people. This could be in project management, communications, public relations and so on · Organisational skills and the capability to manage events or projects. Experience with organising and handling events · A willingness to learn about fundraising strategies and nonprofit operations · Alignment with the core values of TAP and a commitment to our mission. · Availability to participate in events, which may include some evenings and weekends.

You will actively have a positive impact on the charity and on the lives of families with young autistic children who are seeking support and guidance. Through fundraising, we are able to grow the charity and reach more families and offer more insightful services
