What will you be doing?

Treasurer (Trustee) at Being The Cure!  Are you ready to be a hero in the world of charity and education? Being The Cure, a visionary charity at the forefront of character education in the UK, is on the hunt for a dynamic Treasurer to join our team and lead the charge in shaping a brighter future! What are we looking for?

As our Treasurer, you'll be the financial heartbeat of our organization. Your mission, should you choose to accept it: 

Financial oversight: Lead with financial prowess, ensuring the ethical use of our resources.  Committee Chair: Chair of our finance sub-committee, steering quarterly meetings towards strategic financial decision making.  Financial lifecycle: Partner with the CEO, from budget setting to annual close down, ensuring a smooth financial journey.  Fundraising support: Collaborate closely with our fundraising trustee, refining strategies for long-term sustainability.  Risk management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, securing the stability of our organisation.  Compliance and reporting: Ensure we dance to the financial regulatory tune, from Charities Commission submissions to funder reporting requirements.  Stakeholder engagement: Build bridges and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders. 

  Are you the financial hero we seek?  Essential: 

A finance background with a knack for managing organisational finances.  Accounting Qualification or equivalent working experience.  Strong financial management skills, with an eye for budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis. 

  Desirable: 

Experience as a treasurer, especially in the charity or education sector.  Technical literacy to streamline financial operations.
