What will you be doing?
This role is primarily focused on raising funds from grant making bodies including trusts and foundations, corporations and oher organisations. The sucessful candidate will have excellent writing skills with a particular flair for writing persuasive bids, be confident communicator and an organised self-strater, with 3 year's experience in a fundraising role and a proven tracl record of securing a high value, multiyear funds. This is an immensely rewarding role working in a dynamic organisation built on an ethos of sharing and inclusivity. We are looking for an exceptionally committed individual who is willing to go the extra mile and has flexibility to work remotely to tight deadlines. Through your activities, you will be able to convey the organisation's passion and commitment to supporting the arts and heritage of Syrian diaspora and demonstrate the impact of our interventions in transforming the lives of beneficiaries.
What are we looking for?
Your will:
Scan the grant making landscape in order to identify potential funding sources. Create an implement an effective grant writing calendar, aligned to the fundraising objectives. Sift potential grants in order to identify which applications are most likely to suceed. Work with the Operations and Fundraising Manager to approach funders, seeking to build interest in oour work and to gauge our fit with the funding priorities. Write and submit grant applications along with any addiitional required documentation. Track submitted applications and liaise with grant managers as appropiate during the application process. Review and disseminate all feedback from applications.
