What will you be doing?
The primary strategy on social media is to post related content consistently and regularly, thereby attracting more people to see the full range of job seeker services provided at no cost by Careers Springboard. Preferred candidates will have : Video editing skills - Comfortable with platforms such as Tiktok and Instagram - Ability to use video editing software such as Capcut, Adobe Premiere Pro or any other editing software. - understanding of the different formats required for different platforms. (i.e resolution) - Passion for content creation - Understanding of the type of videos required for a professional charity organisation - Able to use stock footage to create professional looking videos. Careers Springboard wants to maximise the possibilities and opportunities represented by social media.. Our Social Media Lead and team will attract interest from a wide range of job seekers on LinkedIn and Twitter and other social media. The Social Media Lead will lead a team to (1) organise PR such as local magazine articles, radio show opportunities etc, (2) schedule social media posts about our weekly webinars and coffee mornings, (3) post relevant content from other websites, (4) write occasional blogs, (5) share content to local groups etc.(6) set team tasks via Trello for the social media assistants to pick up e.g creating an infographic about our impact. Content that works on social media would be items related to Careers Springboard such as testimonials from people who have found jobs using Careers Springboard's services either in written or in short video format. Personal stories tend to do very well on social media as people can relate to this and it elicits emotion.
What are we looking for?
We seek a volunteer with a social media/marketing background. Familiarity with all elements of social media will be very helpful. You will have the ability to pull all the Careers Springboard information together to promote each week and month. All the content is uploaded to Buffer to schedule everything with the posts being completed weekly or monthly. Your activity will be to collate everything, and find suitable images. The team of social media volunteers will tweak the copy. This is a unique opportunity to test and advance your social media skills and put your social media ideas and ambitions into practice. Your CV will be very positively impacted by having this voluntary activity. We welcome use of innovation which will be to the benefit of Careers Springboard.

In order for him/her to be most effective we seek a Social Media volunteer who can work with and direct our team on promoting Careers Springboard through innovative and frequent use of social media. As well as a solid IT background we need someone who has experience of utilising social media to promote and advance the profile of an organisation like Careers Springboard. Over 30+ years Careers Springboard has helped 3,000+ managers, professionals and graduates get back into work. Those seeking our help in 2023 expect us to operate with the slickest and most user friendly social media outlets.
